Exceedingly prolific songwriter and avid live performer, David Marx, wholeheartedly subscribes to the thinking that music can (still) occasionally sparkle with the innocence and the majesty it once did.
Originally from Swindon ā where he was a member of the now legendary Aggravators whom supported The Clash on their infamous White Riot tour ā he soon moved to London where he co-formed Restaurant For Dogs with Barry Andrews, formerly of XTC; a band which gigged extensively ā including a UK tour opening for Robert Fripp ā and released various recordings on both Virgin & Polydor.
Having spent a number of years living in New York ā where he was briefly signed to MCA whom funded recordings with various member of Bruce Springsteenās E Street Band ā David has released several albums on his own Revolver label: LoveJunk, My Crucial Execution, Jesus Was A Socialist & Jericho Trumpets (with a fifth to be released), and also produced fellow Swindon punk band, Charred Heartsā first two albums: The Triumph & The Tragedy and Cliches & Conspiracies.
Having always garnered positive press and oft been compared to the likes of The Beatles, Elvis Costello, Paul Simon, Kurt Cobain and John Martyn, David has undertaken numerous tours of the UK, Central Europe, The Middle East, The Caribbean and the North-East Coast of the US.
