Cocktails have taken a bit of a reputation battering in the last 20 years so we are claiming back their crown as the slick, suave and sophisticated drinks that they are. Think more Mad Men than The Only Way Is Essex. There are no Slippery Nipples to be seen on our menu, just a classic selection including “proper” Martini’s, Old Fashioned’s and Negroni’s

Straight Ups

Straight up’ cocktails are those which are either shaken or stirred with ice, then strained into a glass with no ice or mixer to lengthen the drink. ‘Straight ups’ are Big bold flavours that awaken the tastebuds. Many of the old classics are served ‘straight up’, most often in a martini glass.

Dry Martini – Brokers London dry gin, Noilly Prat dry vermouth.

Vodka Martini – Stolichnaya Vodka, Noilly Prat dry vermouth.

Sweet Manhattan – Canadian Club whisky, Punt E Mes sweet vermouth, Angostura bitters, maraschino syrup (can be served ‘on the rocks’)

Sazerac – Woodford Reserve bourbon, sugar, Peychaud’s bitters, La Fee Absinthe

Margarita – Epsolon Tequlia Blanco, Cointreau triple sec, fresh lime juice. (Can be served ‘on the rocks’)

Daiquiri – Brugal Blanco Rum, Cointreau triple sec, Freshly squeezed lime juice

Espresso Martini – Fresh espresso coffee, Stolichnaya vodka, Kahlua coffee liqueur, caramel syrup.

Irish Espresso Martini – As above but with Paddy’s Irish whisky in place of the vodka.

On the Rocks

A couple of veritable favourites with big bold flavours, served in a short tumbler over ice.

Old Fashioned – Woodford Reserve bourbon, sugar, angostura butters.

Negroni – Brokers London Dry Gin. Campari, Lustau Rosso vermouth

Hi-Balls

Hi-Balls are served over ice in a tall tumbler, and are ordinarily lengthened with a sparkling mixer.

Cuba Libre – Brugal Bianco rum, Fresh lime, Coca-Cola.

Dark and Stormy – Brugal Anejo dark rum, Fresh lime, Goslings Ginger beer.

Moscow Mule – As above but with Stolichnaya Vodka in place of the rum.

Gin Gin Mule – Brokers London dry gin, fresh lime, dry ginger ale.

The Build Your Own Bloody Mary BarSaturday and Sunday’s 12pm-6pm.

Nobody makes your Bloody Mary as well as you do. So come in and ease your way through the weekend with your favourite brunch sharpener, just how you like it. We give you the premium vodka, you add the tomato juice and decide on the rest from a frankly ridiculous range of sauces, seasonings and garnishes.

150 years ago, no hip bohemian hang out was complete without an absinthe fountain, so we are pleased to be able to bring you one, and dispel the myths surrounding this fine old spirit. Lengthened with iced water and sugar in this most traditional way, it becomes a deeply complex and satisfying drink. Definitely not for smashing back in shots. Sip. Savour. Smile. For 2-4 people at a time.
