Up Coming Events

We host lots of different events from our regular monthly music quiz to beery events and live music. Want to know what is going on? Check out the listing..

There is always plenty going on at The Tuppenny, from live music to brewery events (see our listing below). Most weeks we host The Thursday Night Music Club, brought to you by the finger-on-the-musical-pulse team at SoPLive, where you will discover the cream of local and national underground music, guaranteed to be incredible and different to any other venue in town. They also bring a more chilled vibe to one Sunday each month with The Sunday Social, a family friendly afternoon of live music.

We want to support live music so we pay all our artists and respect their sound by having a professional sound engineer and decent equipment. We keep our gigs free entry, but what we ask of you is to give generously to the tip-jar if you’ve enjoyed it. Every penny goes to the artists and the bigger the tips the more likely they’ll come and play again.

The last Sunday of the month always brings us the idiocy of the Monthly Music Quiz as the lads from the Swindon Shuffle music festival entertain, educate, argue amongst themselves and raise money for Prospect Hospice.

Our resident DJ’s The Avocado Brothers bring us The Playlist, their monthly night of themed musical soundtracking and we host an eclectic mix of DJ’s on other Saturday nights. often playing out vinyl. Dates vary so keep an eye on listings.

New for 2022 is The Tuppenny Book Club, hosted by former team member Tara. Look out for these on the second Wednesday of the month.

We have had live comedy, poetry, literary events, dance and beyond, and are always keen to host new things that fit our vibe. Get in touch if you have an idea! But, if you want to know what is on the slate right now, check below or see the event section of our Facebook page for fuller details.
