Local musical maestros Illustrations have been described as “The Beach Boys on acid” due to their blend of dreamy, 60s infused psych-pop with a more modern indie vibe via such cult classics as Neutral Milk Hotel. The music is jaunty, jangling, occasionally jarring but always joyous but above all it’s …err…great. (Can’t think of another j word.) Last minute support from Phil Cooper (of Lost Trades fame) who wrote a great solo album during lockdown and has never played any of the songs live!
