So, how do we party on our first birthday? With some of our favourite musicians of course! So, on Thursday 23rd November we have curated a special night to celebrate turning one!
Headlining the night is folk-pop pixie Tamsin Quin, someone we have been meaning to get back in since she wowed at the Literature Festival, so it is a real pleasure to have her, and she will hopefully be clutching a host of new songs from her soon toe be released new album! Tamsin is an acoustic Folk/Blues songwriter and musician from South West England. With influences such as Laura Marling, Seth Lakeman and the Levellers, you’ll be in for a whirlwind of charismatic tale telling.
“A tiny package of blues, pop and folk rolled into one. This lady is great; it is as simple as that.” – Dave Franklin, Swindonian.
“Tamsin is infectious… in a really good way. Her song craft and performance is enough to make others raise their game.” – Keiran Moore, Sheer Music
Ably supporting are a pair of our favourite musical gents – Buswell and Jim Blair. Shaun Buswell is one half of the duo who accidentally invented the Bateswell Tart cocktail (try it, it is delicious). Shaun’s stock in trade is melodic indie folk-pop, often augmented by orchestral msucians. He is bound to have a few extra folks on stage with him, so don’t miss his set. Jim Blair is one of our lovely regulars and a superbly talented slide guitar player. Normally found as part of funky blues rock outfit Hip Route solo he still has a swagger.
There will be plenty of other treats and surprises too – don’t miss the night! Entry is free, music will be from around 8pm.
