We are very pleased to be able to host a gig from Grant Sharkey, a double bass wielding, musical satirist dealing in insightful social commentary, leftfield musical creations, challenging political messages and often just plain silly songs.
Grant is known for writing songs with powerful political and social themes and great humour, and interspersing his sets of these songs with a plenty of witty banter and passionate discourse about current affairs, so this show is well timed with the rise of The Trump and Brexit all recent memories, and a snap general election on the horizon. Plenty of fuel for his ire there….
This show comes as part of the cycle for album Radical You, the ninth record in Grant’s ongoing challenge to record 40 albums over 20 years. This record promises to tackle the current political system and the swing towards fascism and is a call to join The Rational Front and present a new, Radical You.
