You know how much we love introducing you guys to new breweries right? Well here’s one for you all you sour and spontainophiles! Pastore (pronounced pas-tor-ray, emphasis on the ‘tor’, its Italian for ‘shepherd’) have been on our radar for a while, but this is the first time they’ve been in our fridges, and it definitely won’t be the last! So utterly stoked to be able shout about these guys finally. Hailing from Waterbeach in the Cambridgeshire fens, Pastore specialise in modern interpretations of classic wild and mixed ferm beers. The one pictured in the glass is the Blackcurrant Waterbeach Weisse. A thoroughly modern, mixed ferm take on a classic Berliner Weisse with a more than healthy dose of real blackcurrants and a nice little nod to their own home town. A lovely zingy little number with just enough of that ‘fresh hay’ thing going on to keep the most ardent of traditionalist well happy. 10/10. Would order again. What a glorious weekend of sunshine ☀️

What an absolute treat last night was! Real pints in two, yes two, real pubs! Genuinely felt a bit emotional hearing the heartbeat gently coming back to Devizes road. Can’t thank you enough for your hospitality @hopkettletapandbrew and @hopinnswindon I’m really sorry I arrived too late to grab a pizza @timberspizza next time buddy for sure. Wishing all the very best to all of our friends and neighbours in the industry who can open this week. @royaloakoldtown I’ll def be calling you up to book a spot in your new courtyard. Obviously wish we could be joining you all but definitely not bitter, just so grateful we have such amazing neighbours who’s taverns we can frequent ourselves! If you are heading out to your favourite beer garden this week, I can definitely vouch for the covid safety of our mates on Devizes road mentioned above. If you’re not quite ready to face the great unwashed, we’re still running the webshop for both delivery and click and collect (remember that?!) again.
