Live Music Session #123 – Reuben’s Daughters + Tamsin Quin

After one of the most talked about sets at last years Shuffle and a cracking special acoustic set from Reuben’s Daughters back in November we thought we would strike whilst the iron was still hot and get a fuller band show in the diary…

Conceived in Barton Creek, TX, USA (after missing a plane home…) Reuben’s Daughters is the musical brain-child of Bath-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Reuben Myles Tyghe, of alt-rock trio, Port Erin, who we have had a long and fruitful working relationship with.

“It’s playful and adventurous pop where solid grooves undulate underneath technicolor island slide guitars.” Dave Franklin, The Swindon Shuffle

“Reuben’s Daughters is a moonlight swim under a weeping willow slide guitar forest… Ghosts and clouds turn into melodies that crouch on the banks and whisper pictures into your brain. It’s a cool album!” – Micah Nelson (Particle Kid)

”Who knew some of the sunniest new music in the world could be crafted in the southwest of England?” – Kelley Stoltz (Castle Face / Sub Pop / Echo & The Bunnymen)

Support from the always amazing Tamsin Quin, as she steps out from her role in Lost Trades to remind us how great her own solo material is.
